Who we are
This website is run by Kensington Computer Repairs, 80 Willow Walk, Unit 1, London SE1 5SY. For anything to do with your personal information, email allen@kensingtoncomputerrepairs.com or call 020 3026 0184.
What we collect
When you use a form on this site we receive what you type into it: your name, email address, phone number, the make and model of your device, your description of the problem, and an address if you ask for collection or a return by post. The mail-in form also lets you give us a device passcode. That field is optional and you are welcome to give it to us by phone instead.
If you phone, email or WhatsApp us, we keep the details needed to deal with your enquiry. WhatsApp messages are carried by WhatsApp, which handles them under its own privacy policy.
What we use it for
We use these details to reply to you, to prepare an estimate, to carry out a repair or data recovery you have asked for, and to keep the business records the law requires. We do not sell your details and we do not use them for marketing by other companies.
The legal bases we rely on are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing that contract, our legitimate interest in running the business and answering enquiries, and our legal obligations.
Data on your device
Repair and data recovery work can involve access to the files on your device. We use that access only to carry out the work you asked for, and we keep what we see confidential.
Who else is involved
Form submissions are delivered to us by email, so they pass through our website host and email provider. The forms are protected against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person and processes technical information about your browser and connection to do so. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and the contact page shows a Google map, so your browser connects to Google when it loads them.
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job details only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, including any warranty on the work and our accounting obligations, and then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email allen@kensingtoncomputerrepairs.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
